Police arrest suspect in Stowe tattoo shooting death

Allegheny County sheriffs on Wednesday night arrested the man accused of killing a local tattoo artist.

Terrance Murphy, 25, of Stowe, allegedly shot an unidentified 31-year-old man who had just given him a tattoo, according to county police.

The shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday on the second floor of a home at 127 McKinne Ave.

The tattoo artist was shot several times. He was taken to the hospital where he died of his injuries.

The Allegheny County Sheriff’s Fugitive Squad found and arrested Murphy at a home in Ambridge, Beaver County around 9:30 p.m.

He was taken to the Allegheny County Jail in Pittsburgh and will be arraigned for criminal homicide.
