Officials seized more than $9,000 and 3,000 bags of heroin after serving a search warrant at an apartment in Pittsburgh’s Lawrenceville neighborhood where two children were staying.

Officers for the state Attorney General’s Office issued the warrant at the Doughboy Square Apartments at 3459 Butler St. shortly after noon Friday, according to a criminal complaint.

Officers said they found about $9,260 in cash, 3,070 bags of heroin, 26 grams of crack cocaine, 61 grams of cocaine, 24 grams of heroin, four cellphones, two digital scales and stolen Glock 17 and Sig Sauer P220 handguns. Darrell Andrew Williams, who is charged in the case, was found holding $153 and has prior convictions, officials said.

Two children, ages 8 and 4, were inside the apartment and left before the warrant was issued, officials said.

Williams is charged with two counts of receiving stolen property, two counts of endangering the welfare of children, three counts of possession with intent to deliver and four counts of possession.
