Police: Pittsburgh man wanted for murder in Knoxville shooting

Montez Freeman, 38, of Pittsburgh is wanted on homicide charges for allegedly fatally shooting a man Wednesday in the city’s Knoxville neighborhood.

A warrant has been issued for a Pittsburgh man in connection with a homicide in the city’s Knoxville neighborhood.

Montez Freeman, 38, is wanted on charges of homicide and person not to possess firearms, authorities announced Thursday.

Charges stem from an incident early Wednesday morning along Knox Avenue.

Freeman’s accused of shooting a man in the stomach. The victim was taken in critical condition to a hospital, where he later died that day.

Anyone with information as to Freeman’s whereabouts should contact Pittsburgh detectives at 412-323-7800.
