Police are seeking the public’s help to find the man pictured above in surveillance footage. Port Authority of Allegheny County officials say the man punched a bus driver in the face while exiting a bus near Liberty Avenue in Downtown Pittsburgh on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2019.

Police say a man punched a bus driver in the face in Downtown Pittsburgh and are asking for the public’s help to find him.

Police on Monday released two photos of the man they say assaulted the driver at about 8:20 p.m. Sunday, Port Authority of Allegheny County spokesman Adam Brandolph said. The photos were taken from surveillance footage on and outside the bus.

The man boarded the bus at a Homewood station, then hit the driver in the face while exiting the bus near Liberty Avenue, Brandolph said.

Officials did not elaborate on the extent of the driver’s injuries.

Port Authority police asked anyone with information about the man in the surveillance photos or the incident to call 412-255-1385.

Callers can remain anonymous.
