Three men opened fire during an early morning home invasion in Stowe on Wednesday, and police continued searching into the evening for one who eluded capture.

The home invasion happened about 3:10 a.m., and two people were home at the time, said Inspector Andrew Schurman of the Allegheny County Police. The men assaulted the victims, and shots were fired, but no one was struck by gunfire

Kennedy police assisting Stowe officers in the investigation spotted a black Nissan sedan speeding away from the area with three men inside, Schurman said.

He said officers attempted a traffic stop, and though the Nissan briefly came to a halt, one man jumped out and the sedan took off again.

The driver slowed the car near the Forest Grove Sportsmen’s Club and the driver and remaining passenger bailed out, leaving the sedan to roll down the hill and crash. A 9mm handgun and AK-47 rifle were found in the car, Schurman said.

Investigators said a manhunt led police to Justin Desean Bryant, 21, who is charged in the incident. About 7 a.m., Robinson police arrested a man trying to break into a home on Ewings Mills Road. Deandre Williams, 20, was also charged in the earlier home invasion after evidence tied him to the scene.

Around the same time, a gold Chevrolet Venture minivan was stolen from a driveway in the area, and police believe the theft is related to the third home invasion suspect, who has not been identified. The stolen minivan’s license plate number is KND2422, and anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 833-255-8477.

Schurman said the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.

Bryan and Williams both face a slew of charges, including aggravated assault, robbery, burglary, theft and impersonating a public servant. They remained in the Allegheny County Jail on Wednesday afternoon.
