Pittsburgh police vehicles will again sport rainbow decals throughout June to show support for Pride Month, a month intended to celebrate the LGBT+ community.

The decal is one in a series of decals put on vehicles over the course of the year that “symbolize our focus on inclusiveness, community police work and building bridges with everyone in (Pittsburgh),” said Chief Scott Schubert.

“We know that Pittsburgh is stronger together, and that means inclusion of every community and community member,” he said.

Pittsburgh Pride weekend will take place June 7-9 and include events in Downtown and on the North Side.

Police warned of the following road closures:

8 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Monday

Ft. Duquesne Boulevard between 7th Street and the 10th Street Bypass 8th Street between Penn Avenue and Ft. Duquesne Boulevard Garrison Place between Ft. Duquesne Boulevard and French Street Maddock Place between Penn Avenue Ft. Duquesne Boulevard 9th Street between Ft. Duquesne Boulevard and French Street 9th Street between French Street and Penn Avenue French Street between 9th Street and Garrison Place (westbound traffic only)

8 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Monday
