Pittsburgh police are investigating a robbery that occurred Monday evening in the 100 block of South 19th Street in Pittsburgh’s South Side.

Two men were walking down the street around 11 p.m. when they were approached by a third man asking for directions, according to Cara Cruz, a police spokeswoman.

After getting directions, the third man pointed a gun at the two men who were walking, police said. As he kept the gun pointed, a woman joined in and the two began going through the men’s pockets. Cruz said that two iPhones and a wallet were stolen and the suspects fled toward Jane Street.

The two men described the man as between 6 feet and 6 feet 4 inches tall and very thin. He was wearing a dark Nike jacket. The woman was wearing a black Batman T-shirt and had brown hair held back with a black headband.

Cruz said that the iPhones were later recovered from two different locations, but the wallet has not been found.
