A car crashed into a parked car before colliding with this apartment building near the intersection of Nelbon and Lindberg avenues in Penn Hills Monday afternoon.

A driver was charged with driving under the influence after striking a parked car and an apartment building in Penn Hills Monday afternoon.

Police Chief Howard Burton said the driver, described as a 42-year-old woman, was driving along Lindberg Avenue toward Nelbon Avenue around 3:15 p.m. when she lost control of her sedan and struck a parked car.

She then struck an apartment building near the intersection causing structural damage.

Burton said Penn Hills Fire Marshal Chuck Miller examined the building, and it might have to be condemned.

No injuries were reported. The driver is being cited by mail. Her name and the number of people in the apartment that may be displaced were not available Monday evening.
