A woman died after her vehicle went over a hillside near the border of Pittsburgh’s East Hills and Homewood neighborhoods early Sunday, police said.

The incident was reported around 12:15 a.m. between Oakwood and Haverhill streets.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s office identified the woman as Mariah Walker-Collins, 24, of Wilkinsburg.

When paramedics, firefighters and police officers got to the scene, they found Walker-Collins unconscious in the vehicle. She was the driver of the vehicle, police said.

Paramedics extricated her and put her in an ambulance. They attempted life-saving procedures, but she died shortly after arriving at a hospital.

The Collision Investigation Unit is investigating the cause of the crash.
