The Parkway East outbound lanes from the Beechwood Boulevard exit to the Edgewood/Swissvale Exit reopened about an hour after a multi-vehicle crash shut it down Sunday afternoon, authorities said.

Allegheny County dispatchers said the wreck happened around 2:30 p.m. Sunday on the Swissvale side of the Squirrel Hill Tunnel.

State police reported it reopened shortly after 3:30 p.m.

It’s unclear if anyone was injured or when the road would reopen.

PennDOT officials also posted information about the crash on its Twitter page.
