Primanti Bros. in Strip District hosts wedding reception for 11 couples
Some happy couples tied the knot on Saturday and then enjoyed a sandwich or two.
Eleven couples were married at the Primanti Brothers restaurant in the Strip District.
On Valentine’s Day Primanti’s offered any couple that got engaged at one of their locations, a group reception in the summer. This was the promised party.
“We love that love is in the air and everyone’s having a good time. Happy to feed some people and be a part of their family, just like they are a part of ours,” Jim Prezioso, Primanti Bros. marketing manager, told WPXI.
The mayor and some local musicians also took part in the celebration. Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto attended and local music legend Donnie Iris and Penguins anthem singer Jeff Jimerson provided was entertainment.
The city shared photos on Twitter:
If you thought a cookie table made a Pittsburgh wedding...today Mayor @billpeduto joined @primanti’s as it hosted and catered 11 weddings in the Strip. Followed up with a performance by @donnieiris & @jeffjimmerson’s and a capicola at the bar. So #pittsburgh’ pic.twitter.com/lCuVSQ1TuE
