Prosecutors in Pittsburgh seek to confiscate items tied to alleged drug conspiracy
Federal prosecutors said they have started the process of confiscating cash, a car, jewelry and guns found when agents raided houses where four men allegedly sold drugs in the Braddock area last spring.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Pittsburgh said Tuesday that two of the men had pleaded guilty to drug distribution.
Larry Dandridge, 24, of Monroeville, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute heroin, while Damien Franklin, 26, of Trafford, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute cocaine, the office said.
Chadlin Leavy, 30, of Pittsburgh, and Marvin Porter, 48, of Allison Park, also are accused of conspiracy in connection with a regional roundup in June.
Court records show the first two pleas were made Thursday before Senior U.S. District Judge Arthur J. Schwab.
Prosecutors said Dandridge distributed more than three ounces of heroin and seven pounds of marijuana between April and May.
Franklin is accused of distributing almost three pounds of cocaine.
Prosecutors said they are seeking to confiscate about $73,000 in cash from Leavy; about $11,500 from a residence; a 2008 Mercedes Benz; a Swiss watch and another with diamonds; gold and diamond-studded jewelry; 11 firearms, ammunition and ammunition magazines. A total financial figure wasn’t listed in court documents.
