The Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority on Tuesday afternoon lifted a boil water advisory for residents of several West End neighborhoods in Pittsburgh.

PWSA reported that two rounds of water testing found no contaminants in the water.

The boil advisory was issued Saturday for about 870 PWSA customers in Ridgemont, Westwood and Elliott after a water main ruptured on Virginia Avenue in Mt. Washington. The break caused low pressure conditions and created the possibility of contaminants entering the system.
