Road repair projects will cause lane restrictions in several Allegheny County locations this week.
Here are some of the major projects underway:
• Pavement improvement work along northbound Interstate 79 in Franklin Park began Sunday night and is expected to continue through May 2.
The restrictions will occur 7 p.m. until 3 p.m. the following day between I-279 and the Wexford Route 910 interchange at Exit 73.
• Around-the-clock lane restriction will be in place along westbound Route 22 (William Penn Highway) in Monroeville from April 27 to 29.
Westbound Route 22 will be down to a single-lane of traffic from 7 a.m. April 27 through 6 p.m. Wednesday.
The restrictions are between the I-376 Parkway East on-ramp and Route 48.
Motorists still will be able to access the I-376 and Pennsylvania Turnpike on-ramps. The work involves shoulder excavation and widening, relocation of signs and light poles and line painting.
• Slide repair work is being done along Route 136 Rainbow Run Road/Newton Road in Elizabeth Township.
Route 136 between Route 51 in Forward Township and Long Hollow Road in Elizabeth Township will be closed through late May.
Traffic is being detoured along routes 51 and 201.
