Road closed in city's West End due to landslide, bus stops affected

An active landslide has shut down a section of roadway in Pittsburgh’s West End.

Noblestown Road between Weaver and Walbridge streets is closed in both directions as a result of the landslide above the roadway that is still moving, according to post on social media by Allegheny County shortly after 8:30 a.m.

The area where the slide occurred is near the entrance to the West End Park.

Port Authority has detoured one of its bus routes — the 31 Bridgeville — around the slide.

As a result, inbound stop will be missed at Noblestown Road as well as the stop at South Main and Wabash streets.

Outbound stops will be missed at Noblestown Road past Weaver Street and at Noblestown Road and Obey Street.

Passengers should use the next available stop on the route, according to the Port Authority.
