Road closures scheduled in Pittsburgh for Light Up Night

Most people in and around Pittsburgh look forward to the city’s annual Light Up Night. But there is one down side to the event: the road closures that come with it.

The Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership announced the list of road closures slated for this Friday.

From 7 a.m. to midnight, they include The Roberto Clemente Bridge, Fort Duquesne Boulevard between Stanwix Street and Seventh Street, Penn Avenue between Sixth Street and Stanwix Street, Stanwix Street between Fort Duquesne Boulevard and Liberty Avenue, and Cecil Place between Fort Duquesne Boulevard and Penn Avenue.

Closures from 9 a.m. to midnight include the Penn Avenue Extension between Stanwix Street and Gateway Center Three.

From 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., Fourth Avenue will be closed between Stanwix Street and Wood Street.

From 4 p.m. to midnight, closures include Market Square, Forbes Avenue between Stanwix Street and Market Square, Graeme Street between Fifth Avenue and Market Square, and Market Street between Fifth Avenue and Market Square.

From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. closures include Stanwix Street between Fort Duquesne Boulevard and Liberty Avenue.
