Ross cops seek tips on overnight robbery at Comfort Inn on McKnight Road

Tony LaRussa

Ross Township police hope a video they released of a man who robbed the Comfort Inn hotel on McKnight overnight will help identify the suspect.

Police say a man dressed in all dark clothing with a mask covering his face walked into the hotel office at around 3:30 a.m. June 6 and demanded cash from the clerk.

The man, who made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, did not display a weapon and the clerk was not injured. No hotel patrons were present when the robbery occurred.

The suspect is a black man in his 20s about 5-feet 11-inches tall with rough skin under his eyes and a short, scruffy beard.

Anyone with information is asked to call Ross police at 412-931-9070.
