North Braddock police are investigating a crash that involved multiple vehicles and shut down part of Route 30 on Monday afternoon.

Allegheny County dispatchers said the wreck happened around 2:10 p.m. in the 1000 block of Ardmore Boulevard (Route 30). The roadway near Vincent’s Pizza was shut down in both directions until about 3:30 p.m.

Police Chief Isaac Daniele told Tribune-Review news partner WPXI-TV that one person suffered minor injuries and had to be cut out of a van involved in the crash. The driver was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, the station reported.

Daniele told WPXI that road rage may have contributed to the crash.

It’s unclear how many vehicles or people were involved in the incident.
