2nd drive-in movie coming to Pittsburgh zoo parking lot

Tickets are available Thursday for the second installment of Pittsburgh’s drive-in movie series.

The next drive-in movie night is scheduled for Saturday at the Pittsburgh zoo parking lot.

This week’s showing is “A League of Their Own,” starring Tom Hanks and Geena Davis. The film is rated PG.

Gates open at 8 p.m., and the movie airs at 9 p.m.

The event is free, but advance ticket reservations are required. Spaces in the zoo parking lot are limited.

Tickets for this weekend’s show will be available at 10 a.m. Thursday.

This movie is part of the Dollar Bank Cinema in the Park series, which will continue showing weekend movies at outdoor locations throughout Pittsburgh through August.

Upcoming movies include “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood” on July 11, “Men in Black: International” on July 25, “The Mighty Ducks” on August 8, and “Charlie’s Angels” on August 22.

This series is presented by the City of Pittsburgh Office of Special Events and sponsored by 100.7 FM Star.
