The Presbyterian SeniorCare Network has launched an initiative to brighten the spirits of patients and their caregivers by sending them cards and notes of encouragement while they are under the state-mandated quarantine to help slow the spread of the coronavirus.
“People are reaching out to us asking if they can send cards and notes,” says Paul Winkler, president and CEO of Presbyterian SeniorCare Network. “In response, we checked with our chief medical director and received clearance that greetings can be received.”
Winkler said people can participate in the the “#RaysOfSunshine” program by sending the greetings through email or the Postal Service.
“We know that parents are looking for projects to keep their children busy while they are home from school,” Winkler said. “This project teaches about acts of kindness and bringing joy to others.”
Cards, notes and videos also can be posted on Presbyterian SeniorCare Network’s Facebook page.
