There were no serious injuries in a crash between a Shaler Area School District bus and a car in Ross Township Wednesday morning, according to the district.

The bus was taking students to Shaler Area Elementary School. The crash happened near the corner of Thompson Run Road and Vilsack Road around 7:40 a.m., according to police.

EMS checked out five students for minor injuries, the district said.

All the students were in 4th, 5th or 6th grade.

All the students got on a different bus and were taken to school, where they were further evaluated by the school nurse and EMS.

The bus was driving north on Thompson Run when the car pulled out in front of it, according to Ross Township police.

The bus suffered front end damage, police said.
