A man from Pittsburgh’s Sheraden neighborhood was sentenced Thursday to 10 to 20 years in prison for a 2018 East Hills shooting that left a Virginia man dead.

Leonard Bernard Hilton, 26, also was ordered to serve 10 years of probation following his release. Allegheny County Judge David Cashman agreed to the sentence after Hilton pleaded guilty to third-degree murder for the killing of Matthew Zinnermon, 32, of Chesapeake, Va.

Zinnermon was shot May 25, 2018, near the Maple Hill Apartments in Pittsburgh’s East Hills neighborhood. Police responded about 4 a.m. to Park Hill Drive and found Zinnermon dead from multiple gunshot wounds.
