The South Hills Memorial Day parade featured two fire departments, local police, high school bands and veterans.

The parade began on Brookline Boulevard Monday morning at 10 a.m. and wove through Brookline, Dormont and Mt. Lebanon. It ended at the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.

The Mt. Lebanon police guard led the parade and was followed by the Mt. Lebanon and Dormont fire departments.

Marching bands from Mt. Lebanon and Keystone Oaks High Schools performed.

The Shriners buzzed around in three-wheel ATVs. Classic cars crawled the parade route. And the Boy Scouts were presented by two area troops.

The Pittsburgh Police Mounted Unit neighed and behaved at the end of the parade.

The fire departments recognized fallen firefighters at the conclusion of the parade with ceremonies in the cemetery at monuments remembering their service.
