A man crashed into a building in the city’s Larmier section on Sunday night after being stabbed, according to Pittsburgh police.

Officers from the Zone 5 station responding to a call for a reported stabbing in the 6400 block of Frankstown Avenue found the victim inside a van that struck the corner of a storefront, a Pittsburgh police sergeant said.

The incident occurred at about 10 p.m.

Police said the man, whose name was not released, was taken to the hospital where he underwent surgery for his wounds.

Investigators said Monday morning that they did not have an opportunity to speak to the victim and were seeking the public’s help.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at: 412-323-7800.
