Kennywood Park took delivery of some new cars this weekend — they came in black and gold and with a familiar logo.
The amusement park posted to a photo to their Instagram page of the new Steelers-themed cars for their soon-to-open Steel Curtain roller coaster, with the “A special delivery came in over the weekend. #thesteelcurtain #steelcurtain #steelerscountry #herewego #kennywood #rollercoaster #amusementpark #lovepgh”

The cars are black and feature a gold-and-white stripe design, as well as the Steelers logo. Each car will be numbered similarly to a football jersey. And seats will have a football shape and colors.
The park and the company building the roller coaster, S&S Sansei Technologies, previously shared photos of the cars.
The Steel Curtain will boast 4,000 feet of track and soar 220 feet above the ground. In just two minutes, riders will travel 76 m.p.h. into 9 inversions (a North American record) including the world’s tallest at 197 feet above the ground.
When completed the ride is expected to set several records, including tallest roller coaster in Pennsylvania.
The roller coaster will be the centerpiece of a new Steelers Country attraction at the West Mifflin park.
An opening date for the ride has not been announced, but it is expected to open this summer.
