A SWAT situation in Pittsburgh’s Arlington neighborhood Tuesday was resolved without incident, police said.

Officers were called to a possible domestic violence incident in the 200 block of Fernleaf Street and spoke with a man who ultimately barricaded himself in the home, public safety spokesman Maurice Matthews said.

The man appeared to cooperate with police at first, Matthews said, but then suddenly ran inside the apartment and refused to come out.

An investigation showed the man had outstanding warrants and SWAT was called to make sure no one else was in the home.

He eventually surrendered without incident.
