A teen was charged as an adult in connection with the January robbery and shooting at an apartment where three children were inside, Allegheny County police said Tuesday.

Police responded to the Leland Point housing complex in Baldwin shortly after 10 a.m. on Jan. 31, where a man had been shot, investigators said.

Two suspects — one later identified as 15-year-old Aaron Reed — entered the apartment with the victim, where two other adults and three children under the age of 12 were inside, said Inspector Andrew Schurman.

The injured man, an 18-year-old, was taken to the hospital in critical condition at the time. No others were injured.

Reed is charged with aggravated assault, robbery, conspiracy and firearms violations. He remains in the Allegheny County Jail, in lieu of $5,000 bond. His hometown was not included in a press release.
