Duquesne police have charged a 14-year-old with several felonies in connection with a recent string of burglaries.

The juvenile was found late Thursday morning after officers received a call for a burglary in progress.

Police said the teen and mother were brought to the station for an interview, and the teen admitted to being responsible for three house burglaries and breaking into several garages.

Police said stolen items were recovered from the juvenile’s home, and additional stolen items were recovered elsewhere in the city and North Versailles.

Police said the teen was transported to Shuman Juvenile Detention Center, and the victims were notified. Police did not give any other description of the teen, items stolen or where they were taken from.
