No, your office isn’t hiring younger interns. Those were your colleagues’ kids running around on Thursday.

The annual Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day happens on the fourth Thursday of April and 37 million Americans at over 3.5 million workplaces participate, according to Forbes.

It’s a great way for children to get a glimpse into the working world and learn a little about where their parents spend the bulk of their time. It also makes for some great photo ops.

Here are some favorites from the Pittsburgh region.

City employees participated.

Some companies had activites planned.

Everything is better with pizza.

There were some practical perks for the parents.
