Wiz Khalifa kicks off Pitt season at Blue and Gold Madness
It was Pitt’s annual Blue and Gold Madness event on Friday night — but it ended with the song “Black and Yellow.”
Pittsburgh rapper and Grammy nominated recording artist Wiz Khalifa headlined a live performance for students following inter-team scrimmages between Pitt’s women’s and men’s basketball teams at the Peterson Events Center in Oakland.
Khalifa wasn’t the only well-known guest. DJ Bonics, a Pitt alumni and DJ for Wiz Khalifa, emcee’d the event and guest coaches Ryan Shazier and James Conner of the Pittsburgh Steelers attended the yearly basketball opening ceremony.
