Below is the Top 10 high schools in Allegheny County, according to new rankings released by U.S. News & World Report.

Rankings are based on college readiness, math and reading proficiency, math and reading performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum breadth and graduation rate.

The county rankings are followed by the state rank and overall score.

1. Upper St. Clair (No. 9; 97.43/100)

2. Quaker Valley, Leetsdale (No. 13; 96.65)

3. North Allegheny, McCandless (No. 15, 96.42)

4. Hampton (No. 17; 95.87)

5. Mt. Lebanon (No. 18; 95.77)

6. Pittsburgh CAPA 6-12 (No. 20; 95.52)

7. Pine-Richland, Pine Twp. (No. 21; 95.4)

8. Fox Chapel Area (No. 23; 95.3)

9. Pittsburgh Science & Technology Academy (No. 29; 94.32)

10. South Fayette (No. 32; 93.69)
