Coxcomb Hill Road in Plum was closed Sunday at about 1:30 p.m. between Ramparts Boulevard and River Road due to a utility pole on fire, according to Allegheny County officials.

The mishap also closed the intersection of Coxcomb Hill Road (Route 909) and Repp Road.

Utility poles along the road, which leads from Plum down into New Kensington, carry high-tension wires.

County officials posted the closure to their Twitter page shortly before 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
