A Verona man was arrested Monday by the Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force in connection with the 2017 killing of a Braddock teen.

Augustus Gray, 14, died Nov. 25, 2017 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Oakland after being shot in the head in the Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar neighborhood of Pittsburgh.

City police at the time said Gray, a Woodland Hills Junior High eighth-grader, was found with one gunshot wound to the head in the 1300 block of Paulson Avenue.

Tremayne Wilmer, 47, of Verona was arrested and charged with criminal homicide Monday, Pittsburgh Public Information Officer Chris Togneri said.

Wilmer’s girlfriend, Nehlah Stubblefield, 33, of Verona was also arrested and charged with perjury and false swearing in connection with the investigation, according to Togneri.

Both were taken to the Allegheny County Jail. No further information about the suspects were released.
