The closure of an intersection in Wall Borough will detour traffic through parts of Pitcairn and Monroeville, Allegheny County Department of Public Works announced Wednesday.

The intersection at Wall and Valley avenues will close starting at 9 a.m. Sept. 9. The work is expected to last until November, public works said.

Traffic will be detoured using Mosside Boulevard to Broadway Boulevard. From Broadway, which turns into Rt. 130, traffic will be detoured by turning left on Patton Street and right on Station Street.

The work includes repairs to a bridge, sidewalk repairs and the installation of a guide rail. Plum-based Pugliano Construction will complete the $348,739 project.
