An inmate at the Allegheny County Jail died Sunday, officials said.

The male inmate was found in his cell, suspended by his uniform, Warden Orlando Harper said in a statement.

Corrections officers began compressions until health care staff and paramedics arrived.

The inmate died just after 5 p.m., Harper said.
