A 10-inch water main break late Friday morning closed the inbound portion of Fort Pitt Boulevard between Market and Stanwix streets in Downtown Pittsburgh, authorities said.

Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority crews were working to repair the main. Work was expected to last until 7 p.m. Friday, according to a post on Allegheny County’s Twitter account.

The PWSA did not expect water service to be interrupted for customers, the county said.
