Baldwin Road in Pittsburgh’s Hays neighborhood will likely remain closed for several days as crews work to repair Tuesday morning’s water main break.

The road is closed between Corner Street and State Road 885. Pennsylvania American Water estimates it will reopen before rush hour Friday afternoon.

The 12-inch water main broke around 5 a.m. Tuesday, disrupting service to about 12 properties and damaging 10 homes, according to Pennsylvania American Water.

The company’s disaster restoration team is working with the homeowners.

Water service was restored Tuesday night.
