West Mifflin Area school board members may remove district Superintendent Daniel Castagna at a special meeting Wednesday.

The meeting notice was posted on the district’s website, wmasd.org.

District officials claim Castagna is guilty of multiple fireable offenses, including neglect of duties and incompetence. He has denied the charges.

Castagna was charged with driving under the influence in Beaver County in September 2017 and was placed on unpaid leave in July 2018.

The special meeting to consider firing Castagna will take place Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the West Mifflin Area Middle School Auditorium, located at 81 Commonwealth Avenue, West Mifflin.
