ABC’s “Good Morning America” will set up shop Thursday morning on Pittsburgh’s North Shore.

The show, featuring Ginger Zee, T.J. Holmes and Tory Johnson, airs from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. on WTAE.

Here’s what you can expect form the show, part of GMA’s “Big Summer Road Trip” series.

Limited space available

A limited number of Pittsburghers will be able to be part of the live audience. An ABC spokeswoman said this week that there was overwhelming interest in the show, and audience members space will be very limited and not guaranteed.

The show is advising people to be at Clemente Park on the North Shore by 5:30 a.m. for the chance to be in the audience.

The Gateway Clipper

The show will be broadcast live from the Gateway Clipper.

Suzanne Krug, director of marketing for the Gateway Clipper, said the Good Morning America crew has been in Pittsburgh since Tuesday preparing for the broadcast.

“It’s been an exciting and busy couple days,” Krug said.

Krug said about 20 Gateway Clipper staff will take part in Thursday’s event. She didn’t know if the boat would stay docked during the show or set sail on the rivers.

“It’s such a real-time event — we’ll see what happens when it happens,” she said. “We’re ready for anything.”

Picklesburgh, parking chairs and politicians

Good Morning America hasn’t revealed much about what the show will include. The show said it will honor a “hometown hero” and have a “deals and steals” segment.

GMA will also feature an interview with Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald, air a segment on this weekend’s Picklesburgh festival and feature Visit Pittsburgh’s Pull Up a Chair. You Are Welcomed Here” campaign, according to Visit Pittsburgh.
