The International Association of Women Ministers is holding its Centennial Assembly in Pittsburgh July 22-24. The theme is “Women’s Prophetic Leadership in a Changing Church.”

The ecumenical body was formed in 1919 in St. Louis and has since grown to include ordained women clergy from 22 countries and six continents. Both the 80th and 90th anniversary assemblies were held in Pittsburgh.

Keynote speaker is the Rev. Dr. Karoline Lewis, professor of biblical preaching at Luther Seminary, St. Paul, Minn., and author of “She: Five Keys to Unlock the Power of Women in Ministry.”

The convention is being co-sponsored by Christian Associates of Southwest Pennsylvania and several local church bodies, including the Episcopal Diocese of Pittsburgh; the Western Pennsylvania Conference of the United Methodist Church; the Penn West Conference of the United Church of Christ, Pittsburgh Presbytery; and the Pennsylvania Region of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
