Marlisa Goldsmith, Emmy award-winning anchor/reporter at WPXI, plans to leave Pittsburgh for Arkansas.

“We’ll miss Marlisa greatly,” WPXI News Director Suzanne Nadell said via email to the Tribune-Review on Wednesday night. “She’s a great community citizen (and) newsroom leader. We’re happy she has this opportunity in Little Rock and wish her the very best.”

She’ll be joining THV11 at Little Rock in June, according to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

Goldsmith covered Arkansas for the station between 2013 and 2016 before coming to Pittsburgh.

THV11 officials welcome Goldsmith’s return.

Dave Parker, the station’s news director, told the Arkansas publication that Goldsmith is a “creative journalist with a big heart and will fit right in with the THV11 team.”

Messages to Goldsmith via social media and a voicemail left for THV11 officials were not immediately returned.
