Visitors to First Night Pittsburgh enjoyed the skating rink at PPG Place on Sunday.

Pittsburgh hosted a double celebration Sunday evening as it ushered in 2024 on the 30th anniversary of Highmark First Night Pittsburgh.

The production began at 6 p.m. Downtown and included a 14-block area of the Cultural District with feature live music, dance, theater, visual arts, magic, kids’ activities and a community parade.

Children’s fireworks were set off at 6 p.m. with the featured show set to go off at midnight.

As the year turns to 2024, a Future of Pittsburgh Ball will rise to nearly 75 feet to its pinnacle position as fireworks fill the sky.
