Pittsburgh man charged with possession of child pornography

A Pittsburgh man was charged with possessing material depicting the sexual exploitation of minors.

David Stanton, 53, was indicted on the charge by a federal grand jury in Pittsburgh, Acting United States Attorney Stephen R. Kaufman announced Wednesday.

In March, Stanton knowingly possessed videos in computer graphic and digital files that involved the use of minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct, according to the indictment said.

Assistant United States Attorney Benjamin J. Risacher is prosecuting the case on behalf of the government.

The FBI conducted the investigation leading the to the indictment in this case.
