Pittsburgh police: 1 man dead, 2 others injured in Homewood shooting

A man is dead and two others injured Wednesday night in a shooting incident in Pittsburgh’s Homewood neighborhood.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the deceased as Anthony E. Williams, 44, of Swissvale.

Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert of multiple shots fired around 9:20 p.m. along the 7100 block of Frankstown Avenue, Pittsburgh Public Safety spokesman Chris Togneri reported.

Williams was found dead at the scene.

One of the injured men was located along Mohler Street with a gunshot wound to the lower body. The other was located at the Penn Hills Giant Eagle. He also was shot in the lower body.

No arrests have been made and no further information was available.
