Pittsburgh police: 6 people hurt in downtown crash
Six people were injured in a three-vehicle crash in Downtown Pittsburgh on Friday afternoon.
Public Safety spokeswoman Cara Cruz said the collision occurred shortly before 3:45 p.m. at the Wood Street and Fifth Avenue intersection.
Three of the people were transported to hospitals by medics.
Two children were taken to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and one woman was taken to UPMC Mercy hospital, Cruz said.
All were in stable condition. The three others injured refused medical attention.
Cruz said the cause of the crash is believed to be the result of a medical condition.
Police continue to investigate.
