Pittsburgh police: Car crashes into Elliott Fire Station

A sedan crashed into the front of a fire station early Sunday morning, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.

Firefighters at Elliott Fire Station 30, on the 900 block of Steuben Street walked out to find the vehicle. Fire, police and emergency medical services responded around 12 a.m.

According to police, medics extricated the driver and passenger. Both were conscious and alert, and were transported to a hospital in stable condition.

No firefighters were injured and no fire engines sustained any damage.
