Three men are under arrest after a Homewood shooting that sent one person to the hospital on Tuesday.

Pittsburgh Public Safety spokesman Maurice Matthews said city police responded to ShotSpotter alerts for a total of 13 rounds fired around 10 a.m. in the 7200 block of Kelly Street.

Officers found a man who had been shot in the abdomen. Medics took him to a local hospital in stable condition, Matthews reported.

While responding to the shooting, police noticed three men walking away from the scene. After a foot chase, police detained Alexander Clark, Daireeus Rainey and Robert Walls, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety.

Using video footage, police determined Clark, Rainey and Walls were involved in the shooting, Public Safety officials said in a new release. A police dog officer located three guns believed to have been involved.

Clark, Rainey and Walls face charges for aggravated assault, criminal attempt homicide and criminal conspiracy to commit homicide. They are being held in the Allegheny County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information about the shooting can contact Pittsburgh Police at 412-323-7800.
