Pittsburgh police are investigating a shooting in the city’s Allentown neighborhood that sent one person to the hospital Wednesday afternoon.
Officers responded at about 12:40 p.m. to a Shotspotter alert in the 800 block of East Worthington Avenue.
They learned that a male who had been shot fled to a home in the 400 block of Kingsboro Street.
He was taken by medics to a local hospital and was in stable condition, according to a Pittsburgh Public Safety spokesman.
Authorities didn’t identify the victim or provide a description of a suspect, whom they said fled in an unknown direction.
City detectives processed the scene of the shooting, and an investigation is ongoing.
