A man was fatally shot on Pittsburgh’s South Side early Sunday morning, police said.

Devin Singleton, 25, of Pittsburgh, has been arrested in connection with the incident. The victim has not been identified.

Police said the man was found on South 18th Street at Carson Street with multiple gunshot wounds after the South Side Entertainment Patrol officers responded to two separate ShotSpotter alerts totaling eight rounds at that site.

They rendered aid and applied chest seals until Pittsburgh Bureau of EMS arrived to transport him in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

The department’s violent crime division is investigating the homicide.
