Pittsburgh police are searching for a missing 83-year-old woman with dementia and Alzheimer’s.

According to police, Desiree Yates was last seen Friday about 6:15 p.m. in the 800 block of Inwood Street in the city’s Homewood West neighborhood.

She may require medical assistance, police said.

Yates is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing about 160 pounds, with gray hair, and dark brown eyes. She was not wearing her dentures.

She was last seen wearing a gray sweatsuit, black boots and a blue baseball cap with sparkles.

Pittsburgh police have been using drones in the area and have asked for bloodhounds to help in the search. The Allegheny Mountain Rescue Group also responded to help.

Anyone with information about Yates is asked to call 412-323-7141 or 911.
